Consuming Beauty

The smoke from Colorado blew in just before dawn
When the sun came up it created something different, not a golden hour, more like bronze.

The dusty haze of a beautiful rebirth that is a forest fire, everything burns up and comes back healthier and more full.

Like life, we feel the flames get close enough to consume us. And sometimes, I think we should let them, because if we can take anything from nature, it’s that beauty comes after the fire stops and the smoke and haze blow away.
