A Voice Crying Out

The wind howl’s outside

Like the voice of one

Crying in the wild

It seems to call me

But I’m scared

Terrified that it will call me

Into the unknown places

The reaches of which I have

To go

Far beyond what’s comfortable

And easy

Some where that is foreign

And shaky

I listen close

Trying to hear to what it’s saying

Knowing deep in my heart

I have to depart
