Pathways Under the Stars

Under the stars is where

I want to be

Fire side, bed roll out

thats where I truly

feel free

looking up from my back

seeing what they saw

In the past

The night sky is a scary thing sometimes

going beyond what our minds can fathom

reaching far ahead of

what the eye can see

I get lost in my thoughts

looking at the expanse

thinking of all the paths of life

and where they lead

but truth be told it all comes down

to being me
