During quarantine my wife and I were sitting on our back porch enjoying the weather when we sparked a conversation up about creative outlets. My wife is an amazing artist, and when she decides to draw something she does it with excellence. I had recently bought some pocket notebooks from a company called “Field Notes” and was beginning to write something every day. Whether it was poetry, a short story, or a quote I found interesting, I was beginning to get in a rhythm of doing this when my wife said “how about I draw something, and you write a story or a poem about it”. I loved the Idea! So, we started out with some simple things at first and the pictures got bigger and the stories and poems got longer. So, I’m here to share some of those moments with you all. I’m presenting what I’m calling the “Field Notes series”. I hope you enjoy. If you do, leave a like, a comment, and a follow! Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to take a look at a doodle and a scribble.
I will post the picture that she drew, and then post what I wrote down below it. Again, thanks for looking and thanks for your support. Hope you enjoy!

“My hope is that my home
Will always be my home”
The quote I wrote above is when I saw this picture that she drew, it brought me to the scary reality that our world looks very different now than it did when I was a kid (I’m 27). The world is even different than it was 5 to 10 years ago. I’m not one to be out in left field about global warming and all that. But I do care about and love and cherish nature greatly. Its up to us to leave our children the best world we can.
